You can find out what version you have installed on your computer on the About form in the Guide.

If you wish to update your version of the Guide:
1. Exit out of the Guide if it is running.
2. Right Click on this Download link (2.95 MB).
3. Choose Open and then Open again to run the update.  (Or, run from current location)
4. Follow the instructions in the update program.

* Updates after 2.020714 includes a Palm Guide update to accommodate  Palm OS version 5.0 devices.  If you do not have a new Palm device with OS 5.x, do not Install / Update the Guide software. Due to the new versions, the Guide for Palm OS 5.x will run faster on new Palm system, but it will run slower on earlier version of the Palm OS. 
Versions of the Palm OS earlier than 3.5 should not be Install / Updated under any circumstances.  Some items will not function in the older Palm OS versions.
Standard data sync will work on all versions of the Palm.

* Updates after 2.020619 includes a Palm Guide update.  If you have the Palm Guide already installed on your Palm device and have not updated the Palm program since that update released on June 19, 2002, you must update the Palm program by following these instructions before doing the regular update sync:
1. Click File
2. Click Palm Sync
3. Click Register / Update Palm Devices
4. Click the Install / Update button to send the new program to the Palm.
5. Sync to the palm when prompted.
After the sync completes, you can sync your data to the palm in the usual way to complete the update.

* Updates after 2.020702 include a new QuickBooks export format.  This change was made necessary due to changes in QuickBooks. If you have exported your parts and/or tasks to QuickBooks before this update, please call 201-767-5520 for help in handling your QuickBooks file before you do an export with this new format.

Remember, the update MUST be installed into the same directory as the current installation.  If it is not, the update will not work.

The first time you run the Guide after the update you may need to re-connect to your data file. Check to be sure that the data file is the one you have been using.

You can download the update and run it later by simply clicking once on this Download link and saving it to your computer. 

When you receive the file, double click on it to run the install.    

When you are done with the update, you can delete the update file.
